Vegard Kleven

Yet another piece of design by Studio Heydays. This one is an identity and website design for Vegard Kleven. Very simple, minimal and visually stunning. As you can see a variety of material and techniques was used to make this identity. Something i want to do a lot more this year. Make mistakes and learn from them. Even if its your final year.

Anthon B Nilsen.

An annual report designed by Oslo based multi-disciplinary design studio Heydays who specialise in a wide range of practices. The annual report documents the company from the inside not from the profits on the outside. Much more personal and employee led. Beautifully made with black foil blocking and three different types of stock. The publication has a nice handmade feel about it.

Process Journal: Edition Two

The Process Journal is a quarterly released editorial publication design by Hunt studio in Australia. The publication celebrates the best of Australian and international graphic design. The Grid design for this publication is very flexible to deal with a wide range of content however it still keeps its structure. The publication has a Keaykoloure Sombre Grey 250gsm cover, with a silver metallic foil and PMS 877 U printed throughout. The poster for the publication acts as a dust jacket.

The Future Laboratory

Nicely put together publication by multidisciplinary design agency Madethought. The Future Laboratory reports on nascent trends developing around the world and has interviews with leading lights in design, architecture and consumer culture. It also contains design-led stories on new technologies, materials, fashion and retail and leisure spaces. Its a very nice minimally designed publication.

Huntstudio: TEN23 Architects

Lovely piece of Identity and branding by Hunt studio for Melbourne based architects TEN23. Very clean, minimal with a beautifully designed embossed logo. Yet again i like this work because of its limited pastel colour. The stock looks great too.

Newwork.

Nice piece of typography and layout by studio NewWork in New York. The 4nation exhibition invitation has a very simple layout but looks very privileged. Big fan of one colour design and especially like what they have done with the letter R.

CCDK Copenhagen

More To Follow.

Demian Conrad: Gabbani

A nice piece of branding that i came across online by Demian Conrad. Not planning on doing anything to do with restaurants and their packaging, however i thought it was a good example of turning something old with traditional values and transforming it into a contemporary identity that still keeps its values.

DANIEL FREYTAG: Tribe Studio Architects

Below is the stationary, corporate identity and promotional booklet for Tribe Studio Architects. This nice piece of branding by Daniel Freytag who's a freelance graphic designer from the UK give's a feeling of quality through its use of pastel colours and a sense of importance. A brand that you can trust which gives 110%. I like the simplicity of the logo, the simple use of colours and the typeface used. Very professional and its the direction i want to go towards with my own branding brief. Simple and sophisticated.

Bachgrade: Nya Upplagan

BachGarde is a swedish design studio who specialise in brand building and concept driven communication. They are also a publish house for books and magazines. Nya Upplagan is a Swedish based Free newspaper that focus on culture and interviews. I like the typography, layout and the fact that it has been printed on newspaper print. Something that i have wanted to print onto for a while. The New York times annual report brief would be a good one to do. Especially if it came out looking something like this.
