Industry Setting - BC Ferries is one of the largest ferry operators in the world, providing year-round vehicle and passenger service through British Columbia, Canada.
Challenge - Move beyond a traditional, institutional-like annual report to better reflect the progressiveness of BC Ferries as well as highlight a number of exciting current and future company initiatives.
Strategy - Employ the conceivable view of a BC Ferries’ customer to highlight key messages and thematically thread the book together.
Result - Following in postcard design and style, key messages are “handwritten” from the point of view of a possible passenger; the net effect is an engaging and friendly way to communicate core messages. Original photography throughout the report further supports the company’s discussion. The landscape orientation of the report naturally lends itself well to showcasing the company’s vessels and sailing routes.
